Eugene C.GiniPresident/CEO

Gene Gini was named President and Chief Executive Officer, of Collins Electrical Company, Inc. in 1990.  Since 2000 Gene has served on the NorCal NECA Board of Directors and has always played an active role in his community through charitable giving and service.

Gene began his electrical career in 1958 during his service with the Army CORPS of Engineers and shortly after was hired by Collins Electrical Company, Inc. as a warehouse worker and delivery driver.  Gene was recognized early on for his exceptional work ethic and quickly advanced from his warehouse position to a managerial role.  Gene began his IBEW apprenticeship in 1960 and upon completion of his apprenticeship began supervising jobs for CECI and became Modesto Branch Manager in 1969.

Previously, Gene has held the office’s of President and Governor of the San Joaquin Valley Chapter of NECA has been recognized as the driving force in establishing the statewide NECA/IBEW workers compensation ADR Program. 

Gene is the recipient of the James H. McGraw Award, the NECA Ninth District, Man of the Year Award and the Electrical Contractors Trust of Alameda County, Lifetime Industry Achievement Award.  Gene has additionally been recognized by the University of the Pacific for his instrumental role in establishing the NECA/Pacific School of Engineering Partnership and has received commendation from the State of California Senate in recognition of his contributions to the electrical industry.

Gene resides in Stockton, California with his wife, of 49 years, Dianne who serves as the Senior Vice President of CECI.  Their three sons, Kevin, Brian and Craig have made them the proud grandparents of eight and also serve as company Vice Presidents and Branch Managers for CECI’s Sacramento and Modesto Offices.
