    Gene Gini was named President and Chief Executive Officer, of Collins Electrical Company, Inc. in 1990.  Since 2000 Gene has served on the NorCal NECA Board of Directors and has always played an active role in his community through charitable giving and service.

    Gene began his electrical career in 1958 during his service with the Army CORPS of Engineers and shortly after was hired by Collins Electrical Company, Inc. as a warehouse worker and delivery driver.  Gene was recognized early on for his exceptional work ethic and quickly advanced from his warehouse position to a managerial role.  Gene began his IBEW apprenticeship in 1960 and upon completion of his apprenticeship began supervising jobs for CECI and became Modesto Branch Manager in 1969.

    Previously, Gene has held the office’s of President and Governor of the San Joaquin Valley Chapter of NECA has been recognized as the driving force in establishing the statewide NECA/IBEW workers compensation ADR Program.

    Gene is the recipient of the James H. McGraw Award, the NECA Ninth District, Man of the Year Award and the Electrical Contractors Trust of Alameda County, Lifetime Industry Achievement Award.  Gene has additionally been recognized by the University of the Pacific for his instrumental role in establishing the NECA/Pacific School of Engineering Partnership and has received commendation from the State of California Senate in recognition of his contributions to the electrical industry.

    Gene resides in Stockton, California with his wife of over 50 years, Dianne who serves as the Senior Vice President of CECI.  Their three sons, Kevin, Brian and Craig have made them the proud grandparents of seven and also serve as company Vice Presidents and Branch Managers for CECI’s Sacramento and Modesto Offices.

    Kevin Gini was named Vice President and Partner of Collins Electrical Company, Inc. since1999.  Since his return to CECI in 1991, Kevin has held the positions of Sacramento Branch, Project Manager and Sacramento Branch, Office Manager. Kevin provides management skills to maintain an office of approximately 100 field electricians and an office staff of 25 employees.

    Prior to returning to CECI, Kevin spent several years with Tilt Up construction General Contractors in Southern California.  Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, School of Architectural and Environmental Design.

    Kevin is active in several philanthropic and professional organizations including fundraising for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Kevin has been a NECA Board Member since 1997 and currently serves as the Board President.

    Brian Gini has been an integral part of the Collins Electrical Company, Inc. team since 1988.  Prior to his promotion to Vice President and Partner, Brian held the positions of laborer, project manager and branch manager for CECI. Brian manages the day to day operations for the Metro Branch.

    Brian prides himself on anticipating client/project needs and exceeding client expectations through critical planning and implementation.

    Brian serves as the Nor-Cal National Electrical Contractors Association, Vice President and is a Trustee of the IBEW Pension Trust.  Brian is also a member of the Labor Management C.C. and the NECA Negotiating Committee.

    Brian holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Business Management from San Diego State University.

    Craig is Collins Electrical Company, Inc.’s Renewables General Manager. He is responsible for a company-wide focus on “Green Technologies” and “Energy Efficiency”. Over the past eight (8) years, Craig has been involved in the installation of energy efficient lighting for nearly eight (8) million square feet of Ford and Chrysler facilities nationwide. Most recently Craig has been the driving force behind nearly 68 Megawatts of Utility Scale and Distributed Generation solar installations throughout all of California.

    Craig’s focus is to bring back the values of true “Customer Service” by being attentive to his customer’s needs. He is dedicated to the process of utilizing a “Team Approach”, consulting with his customers to develop programs that are customized to benefit each individual and present “Efficient Solutions” as a viable option to the customer’s needs.

    As Chief Financial Officer, Gail manages the company’s accounting and financial strategy as well as overseeing the Human Resources and IT operations. She joined the company having served as CFO for a GC residential builder, real estate developer and property management conglomerate after starting her career with one of the Big 4 CPA firms.

    Eric Tonnesen joined the Collins Electrical Company, Inc. family in 2004.  As Branch Manager, Eric manages the day to day operations for the Marina Branch. Duties include all estimate review, job progress / manpower requirements and cash flow. Prior to his move to CECI, Eric had been with Amelco Electric Company for 31 years.

    Eric began his electrical contracting career as a delivery driver and through hard work moved his way up through the company.  Eric spent time as a purchasing agent, an estimator, a designer and a project manager.  Eric continued to persevere and eventually become a division manager, then a vice president and joined the CECI Team as a Branch Manger.

    Eric is a graduate of Chabot Junior College and he and his wife Sharon are the proud parents of five.

    Dave Helsel joined the Collins Electrical Company, Inc. team in 1997.  As Branch Manager, Dave manages the day to day operations for the Fresno Branch.  Dave opened the Fresno Branch after being the Modesto Branch Superintendent/Project Manager for 4 years.

    Prior to joining CECI, Dave held the position of Project Superintendent with Steiny and Company, Inc.

    Dave spent time as a Foreman with Steiny and Company, Inc., Wild Electric and Olivia Electric.  Dave was also an IBEW Local #595 Grounds Man.

    Dave is a graduate of California State University Fresno with a Major in Animal Science and Ag Business.  Additionally, Dave holds several certifications including, LEED, OSHA 30, NFPA 70e and Effective Project Supervision 1 & 2.

    Dave is an active member of the East Central Chapter of NECA and is a Management Trustee of the IBEW #100 JATC.

    Rick Henry joined the Collins Electrical Company, Inc. family in 2014. As Branch Manager, Rick manages the day to day operations for the Dublin/East Bay Branch. Duties include all estimate review, job progress / manpower requirements and cash flow. Prior to Collins, Rick worked at Del Monte Electric for over 17 years, most recently serving as Vice President of Operations.

    David Plaster joined Collins Electrical Inc. in 2003 as a Senior Estimator. Dave currently serves as Collins Electrical’s Corporate Chief Estimator managing and directing all electrical estimating staff company-wide.

    Dave’s responsibilities include coordinating resources and workload to ensure timely delivery of all proposals,maintaining & directing estimating software data to ensure current costs, investigating and recommending best industry practices and standards, preparing Design-Build project outlines/requirements for budgeting, and coordinating prefabrication efforts with the Prefabrication Department, among other duties.

    As Manager of Business Development, Jeff’s responsibility is to become engaged with customers and show them the benefits of working with Collins Electrical Company, Inc. He also assist’s in Key Project Development with clients to assist in their success. Jeff’s knowledge of the Construction Industry covers a variety of vertical markets, including Industrial Power Plants to Water & Waste Water Plants, Sports Arenas & Ballparks, Hotels & Recreational Facilities, Hospitals & Medical Office Buildings, College & University Campus Facilities, Courthouses, Public Buildings, Jails & Prisons and Marine Facilities.

    Jeff Withers joined Collins Electrical Company, Inc., as the Stockton Branch Manager, in 2002. Prior to his move to CECI, Jeff held the position of Chief Executive Officer of California Electric Company for 9 years. He has been involved in the Electrical Industry since 1970.

    Jeff is a Vietnam Veteran and has served 4 years with the United Stated Navy where he was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat V, and a Purple Heart.
    Jeff has been active in several trade organizations, such as the NECA National Marketing Committee, the San Joaquin/Calaveras Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee, NECA Northern California Chapter By-laws Committee, Labor Negotiation Committee, Management Services, Electrical Code Advisory Committee, and the Government Affairs Committee.

    Jeff is an alumnus of Boise State University, where he majored in Marketing and Business Management and is a past member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and the Association of Facilities Engineers.

    Jeff has been married to Barb for 38 years, and has four children, and seven grandchildren, and one great grandson.

    Leticia Parises joined the Collins Electrical Company, Inc. family in 1999. Although Leticia was first hired as part of our Payroll Department team, her previous accounting knowledge allowed for a promotion in 2002 to Assistant Controller. Subsequently, in 2014, she was promoted a second time to Accounting Manager.

    Leticia holds 22 years of accounting experience, including 17 in the construction industry. Her education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. As the Accounting Manager, Leticia supervises, monitors, and oversees the day-to-day accounting activities.

    Tina Taylor comes to Collins Electrical Company, Inc. with extensive experience in managing the safety programs of a major construction/mining company with more than 1100 employees. She has more than 22 years of experience as a Safety/Environmental Manager. She has developed managed and facilitated safety, environmental, and labor policies through training and multiple media outlets. Her job is to support the safety, environmental, loss control, and risk assessment needs of Collins Electrical employees and management.

    Tina has the experience, knowledge and training to effectively recognize and evaluate on the job hazards and recommend controls and/or major job risks that could include air contaminates, chemical, biological, physical and ergonomic hazards.

    Her extensive knowledge in the loss control/risk processes allows her to investigate, manage and settle all claims and lawsuits including worker’s comp, auto, general liability and property claims.

    Susan Rodriguez joined Collins Electrical Company, Inc. in 2014 as the Human Resources Manager. She is certified through the Human Resource Certification Institute as a Human Resource Professional (PHR) and possesses over 10 years of human resources experience including recruiting, training, performance management, career development, employee relations, benefits, compensation, payroll, safety, and compliance issues. Susan is passionate about helping businesses make the most of their resources and talent while helping employees make the most of their careers.

    Susan’s role as the Human Resources Manager is to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Human Resources function and programs for the organization. Susan is responsible for performing and guiding the day to day operations of the Human Resources/Payroll department including recruiting strategies, employee on-boarding, training and development, compensation, benefits and payroll/HRIS, equal employment opportunity/affirmative action, and employee relations. She ensures the development and implementation of the best practice people strategies that support the mission and vision of the organization.

    Jeremiah Nieman is the Preconstruction Manager at Collins Electrical Company, Inc. His BIM/Preconstruction experience includes working on major projects for UC Merced, Kings County, CSU Monterey Bay, and CSU Chico. Before managing preconstruction, Jeremiah graduated the top of his class of his apprenticeship program. His achievements earned him a spot to compete for the Western States Electrical Competition. At the Western States Electrical Competition he took first place in 3 rigorous events and finished first overall. His vast knowledge and experience earned him seat at IBEW Local 684, where he served as Vice President for 6 years.

    Jeremiah’s knowledge and experience goes beyond the office setting. He dedicated 13 years in the field working as an Apprentice, Foreman and General Foreman. The skills, knowledge and experience he has acquired from the field has made him a dynamic and integral member of Collins Electrical Company, Inc.

    Marc is a LEED Accredited Professional and possesses a total of seventeen (17) years of project management experience including ten (10) years in the construction industry. Marc has been with Collins Electrical Company, Inc. since 2006. He has managed or had extensive involvement in several projects in the Sacramento area including the Cordova High School Performing Arts Building, Alex G. Spanos Heart Center, California National Primate Research Center at UC Davis, Kaiser South Sacramento Hospital, Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science, South Placer County Courthouse, UC Davis King Hall, UC Davis Medical Center Research Facility, and Kaiser Roseville Sterile Processing Plant.

    Marc also has an extensive Information Technology background and manages the project management system utilized in all five branches of Collins Electrical Company, Inc. He also manages the IT infrastructure and software needs of the Sacramento branch. Recently, Marc was named the Business Process Manager for Collins Electrical Company, Inc. His focus in this role is to improve and standardize the business processes within Collins Electrical Company, Inc. to ensure a consistent and productive experience for our customers and partners.

    Marc is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with specializations in Physics and Computer Science.
